V “Vi” Chastity is a meek but anxious young woman who does everything she can to show E that grace, hope, and a better life are possible for her.
V Chastity (nicknamed “Vi”) is a young woman of faith who struggles with anxiety, depression, and friendlessness. Finally leaving her narcissistic childhood home, she drives across the state line to visit an old spot of comfort: the field across from Dee’s Tea n’ Biscuits, under the tree, where she used to spend hours drawing and thinking. This spot made her reminisce on an old lover whom her heart was still broken for. When this woman shows up looking for her, they join together to protect each other from the faces of their pasts.
Throughout the story, V tries to reach out to E’s heart with gentleness, patience, and unconditional love, to show her that she is indeed worthy of good love; hoping to portray God’s love toward her.
